TRADE SALE VEHICLES
Trade Sale vehicles are clearly marked as Trade Sale and this section applies only to those vehicles. It does not apply to any vehicle sold with a warranty.
A Trade Sale is a business‑to‑business transaction. The buyer is not a consumer and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 does not apply. By purchasing, the buyer confirms they are acting in a business capacity and fully understand that no consumer rights apply.
A Trade Sale provides no warranty, no returns, no refund rights, and no aftercare. There is no guarantee of condition, fitness for purpose, durability, or roadworthiness.
All Trade Sale vehicles are sold as seen. The buyer must inspect and test the vehicle before purchase. All faults are the buyer’s responsibility, including existing faults and future faults, whether known or unknown, visible or hidden.
Trade Sale vehicles may have high mileage, age‑related wear, mechanical or electrical faults, cosmetic defects, MOT advisories, incomplete history, or unknown service intervals. The buyer accepts all risks in full.
Trade Sale vehicles are not suitable for members of the public. Only traders, mechanically capable buyers, exporters, or business purchasers may proceed.
Warranty Solutions Group
All vehicles come with a Free 6 Month Warranty Solutions Group policy as standard, this includes 30 days breakdown cover!
They are the leading warranty provider used by the majority of main franchise dealers. They have 4.6 out of 5 on Google and 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot.
This cover includes a minimum £1,000 per claim limit up to the value of the vehicle and a £78 per hour labour rate including VAT.
Terms of Sale
These Terms of Sale explain how we sell vehicles, what is covered, what is not covered, and how any issues are handled. By purchasing a vehicle from CARMOOSE, you agree to the terms below.
About Your Purchase
All vehicles are sold as used vehicles. This means they may show age‑related wear, cosmetic marks, or general signs of use consistent with their age and mileage. We always aim to describe vehicles accurately and fairly, and every vehicle is inspected and road‑tested before sale.
Warranty Cover
Every vehicle comes with a minimum of 6 months free Warranty Solutions Group warranty unless stated otherwise. This warranty covers sudden mechanical and electrical failures that were not present at the time of sale. Warranty Solutions Group handle the claims process directly and offer clear, simple, and transparent cover.
The first 14 days of ownership are treated separately. During this period, CARMOOSE is responsible for pre‑existing faults only. A pre‑existing fault is something that was developing or present at the time of sale. If a fault appears in the first 14 days, you must return the vehicle to us for inspection. If the fault is confirmed to be pre‑existing, we will repair it at our cost. Sudden new faults that were not present at the point of sale are not the dealer’s responsibility under the Consumer Rights Act and are instead covered by the warranty (subject to WSG terms & conditions).
Repairs and Fault Reporting
All faults must be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible. Any inspection or repair relating to the first 14 days must be carried out by us. You must return the vehicle to our premises for diagnosis. Repairs carried out elsewhere without our written approval will not be reimbursed.
After the first 14 days, sudden mechanical or electrical failures are handled through your Warranty Group Solutions policy. You must follow their claims process and terms.
What Is Not Covered
The following items are not covered by CARMOOSE or by the first 14 days pre‑existing fault cover, as they are classed as wear and tear, service items, or age‑related deterioration. These include but are not limited to brake pads, brake discs, tyres, suspension bushes, coil springs, shock absorbers, wheel bearings, exhaust components, 12v batteries, wiper blades, bulbs, spark plugs, filters, fluids, coolant, AdBlue, minor oil leaks or misting, cosmetic issues, and any MOT advisory items. These items naturally wear down through normal use and are not considered faults.
CARMOOSE or WSG also does not cover issues caused by misuse, neglect, incorrect fuel, modifications or remaps, over‑revving, driving with warning lights illuminated, accidental damage, kerbing, potholes, impact damage, or continued driving after a fault appears.
Refunds and Returns
Under the Consumer Rights Act, you may reject the vehicle within the first 30 days only if a pre‑existing fault is present. You must make us aware of your intention to reject the vehicle immediately, and the vehicle must be returned to us for inspection and diagnosis before any rejection can be considered. Failure to notify us promptly and continuing to drive the vehicle with a known fault will affect your rights, as it can worsen the issue and prevent us from confirming whether the fault was pre‑existing. In these circumstances, a refund will no longer be offered.
If a refund is agreed after 14 days of ownership, the following deductions will apply. A £200 (up to £400 on luxury/performance vehicles) administration and warranty activation fee will be deducted from the refund amount. A mileage deduction will also be applied to reflect usage and depreciation. This rate is calculated fairly based on the value of the vehicle and the mileage added during ownership. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as supplied, allowing for reasonable use. Any damage, missing items, or excessive wear may result in further deductions. Paid warranties & extras are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Customer Responsibilities
By purchasing a vehicle, you agree to maintain it appropriately, it is your responsibility to make sure all service items are up to date as failure to do this will invalidate your warranty, check oil and coolant levels regularly, report faults promptly, and not continue driving the vehicle if a warning light appears. You also agree to return the vehicle to us for inspection when required. Failure to follow these responsibilities may affect your rights or warranty cover.
Final Agreement
By completing a purchase from CARMOOSE, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms of Sale, you understand the difference between pre‑existing faults and sudden failures, you agree to the inspection and repair process, and you accept the refund deductions that apply after 14 days. These terms are designed to be fair, transparent, and fully compliant with the Consumer Rights Act while protecting both you and us.
